Hi, I’m Corey!
A faith-filled engineer who is passionate about, people, renewable energy, and financial literacy.
Early on
Corey D. Christian is a Boston, MA native. He attended Westwood High, and became interested in engineering at a very early age. Corey graduated Tufts University with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. A year later, he attended Colombia University with a full tuition scholarship and earned his Master’s of Science in Chemical Engineering. At Columbia, Corey was funded by the National Science Foundation as a research assistant in the Solar Fuels Renewable Energy Research Lab. In 2015, Corey became the NSF-Sustainable Engineering Graduate Scholars Program (SEGUE) Awardee. After Columbia, Corey began his career at Draper Laboratory, the world’s leading organization for defense consulting. At the age of 24, Corey was promoted and became the youngest Senior Technical Member in his position. Later, Draper sponsored Corey’s Master’s in Engineering Program at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he was a Draper Fellow and System Design & Management Program Fellow.
Current
After six and a half years of technical engineering, Corey is pursuing his MBA at Harvard Business School to expand his impact in the business world. Corey aspires to increase diversity in STEM by teaching, mentoring, and inspiring young Black men. He hopes to be a light for young people as they find their hope and purpose in the world. Corey aspires to leverage his engineering experience to become an investor in the renewable energy space. Additionally, he wants to impact the Caribbean and bridge the gap of financial literacy in urban communities.
